The film follows two American single moms, Susan and Patti, who had been widowed due to the 9/11 attacks. These women came to learn about the widows in Afghanistan as a result of the American war there. They wanted to use the common experience they shared to form an organization that will help these Afghan widows reinvent and restore their lives.
