My uncle called from Pakistan
He told me that there are men with guns stopping buses coming in from Afghanistan and they are telling the real Muslims to stay on the bus and the kaffirs (Non-believers) to get off. They then proceed to shoot those who get off the bus. By non-believers they mean the Shia Muslims.
One elderly man with a long white beard who was Sunni Muslim asked the gunmen, “Why are you doing this? We are all creations of Allah?” And they took him off the bus and killed him too.
For some Shia you can pretend you’re Sunni to save your life in those situations but if you’re Hazara, it’s not that simple. Most Hazara people, like my own family, are Shia and they have certain facial features that make it known they are Hazara. All I have to say is how far we’ve come from the time of the Prophet when he taught about tolerance and compassion and peace.
Sometimes people make the assumption that terrorists who claim to be Religious hurt only non-Muslims but they don’t realize how much Muslims have suffered at their hands. We must all work together, Muslim, Christian, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, Atheist or so forth to bring peace in this world and eliminate suffering.
